Influencer Simisanya, wife of popular videographer Femi Dapson, has advised singles to ask practical questions during the talking stage to determine compatibility before committing to a relationship.
According to her, one of the first things intending couples should discuss is their genotype to avoid future heartbreak.
"Ask about each other's genotype early. If you eventually decide to marry after dating, you won't have to start scrambling after discovering you're not compatible."
She also encouraged people to discuss domestic expectations and everyday lifestyle choices that could affect a relationship.
Using herself as an example, she said she doesn't know how to cook, adding that someone who insists on eating freshly prepared meals every day may not be compatible with her.
Simisanya further noted that a person's social media behaviour can reveal a lot about their character. She advised singles to find out whether a potential partner is constantly involved in online arguments, trolls people, or mistreats women.
She suggested asking questions such as whether the person regularly fights in comment sections, insults women online, or enjoys provoking others on social media.
The influencer also urged people to find out whether a potential partner is naturally generous or stingy before entering a serious relationship, saying such conversations can help couples avoid unnecessary conflicts in the future.
According to Simisanya, asking these practical questions early allows both partners to understand whether they are truly compatible before taking the relationship further.
